About the project
Mace Construct has worked at Heathrow for more than 25 years. Over that time, its role has extended across more than 400 live frameworks and projects on a 1,227-hectare campus. Experience at that scale builds more than site knowledge. About the role
As a Senior Project Manager, you'll take ownership of projects from inception to completion. You'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage key stakeholder relationships and make sure projects meet agreed time, cost and quality outcomes.
What you’ll be doing
· Leading projects from initial brief through design, procurement, construction and handover.
· Building and leading high-performing project teams and coordinating specialist technical support where needed.
· Managing designers, consultants and project stakeholders to deliver agreed outcomes.
· Developing and maintaining project plans, programmes and delivery strategies.
· Monitoring project budgets, schedules, risks and opportunities, taking action when issues arise.
· Working closely with clients and stakeholders to provide clear communication and effective project governance.
· Leading project meetings and ensuring decisions, actions and records are maintained.
· Managing change control processes and ensuring project changes are agreed and documented.
· Supporting robust quality management throughout the project lifecycle.
· Making sure handover information is complete and provided ahead of project completion.
· Creating an environment where everyone understands the plan, their role and how work is progressing.
What you’ll bring
· Experience leading construction projects from inception through to completion.
· Strong project management expertise across programme, cost, risk and stakeholder management.
· Experience managing multidisciplinary teams, consultants and supply chain partners.
· A good understanding of health, safety and regulatory requirements within construction projects.
· Relevant construction, engineering or project management qualification.
· A valid CSCS card or equivalent certification.
Nice to have
· Professional membership such as MCIOB, MAPM, MRICS or MICE.
· Experience delivering projects in an aviation environment.
· Experience working on projects within live operational environments.
· Strong understanding of complex stakeholder and interface management.
· Experience delivering projects through regulated approval processes.
