As a Social Care Worker, you’ll play a vital role in providing person-centred support to adults with learning disabilities in a residential, supported living, or community-based setting. Your days will be varied and rewarding — you might be: * Encouraging individuals to take part in creative and recreational activities * Supporting with daily living tasks such as cooking, shopping, and personal care * Helping people build independence, confidence, and communication skills * Working collaboratively with families, health professionals, and other agencies * Keeping accurate records and contributing to care plans * Promoting dignity, respect, and inclusion in all aspects of care We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just “do the job” — but who brings warmth, creativity, and a sense of fun to every shift. 🎨 About You You’ll be someone who truly cares about people — patient, resilient, and eager to make a difference. Essential: * A compassionate, person-centred approach * Excellent communication and teamwork skills * Reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude * Basic IT and record-keeping skills Desirable: * Experience working with adults with learning disabilities, autism, or additional support needs * Knowledge of support planning and safeguarding practices 🎓 Qualifications & Registration (Scotland) * Qualification: Ideally, you’ll hold or be willing to work towards a Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) Level 2 or Level 3 in Health and Social Care (SCQF Level 6 or 7). * Registration: You must register (or be eligible to register) with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting employment
