Our Sat Connect IC business unit, a division of our Satellite Systems business, is a leading provider of ASICs, software, multibeam electronically steered antennas, and complete systems for communication satellites, as well as ground and airborne terminals. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Technical Program Manager to lead customers' programs, suppliers' management and R&D projects focusing on software running and heavily interacting with HW â ASIC/RFIC design/validation and board design (HW).
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex projects, extensive experience in the aerospace and defence industry and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget. The role will involve close collaboration with crossâfunctional teams, including engineers, scientists, and stakeholders, to drive innovation and deliver cuttingâedge solutions for space applications.
As a program manager, you will work closely with the engineering manager and lead cross-functional engineering efforts delivering cuttingâedge systems for the satellite communication market. You will work with industry experts and teams, coordinating work done in-house and at external vendors.
- Project Management: From inception to completion, including project planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting. Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocations to ensure project milestones are achieved within defined timelines and budget constraints. Consolidate plans of different engineering departments, external vendors and suppliers.
- CrossâFunctional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with crossâfunctional teams, other than software including ASIC designers, hardware engineers and other stakeholders, to drive project success. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to facilitate communication, knowledge sharing, and problemâsolving across disciplines.
- Customer Engagement: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Engage with customers to understand their requirements, expectations, and feedback, and provide regular updates on project progress, milestones, and deliverables. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and technical briefings to communicate project status, achievements, and recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and uncertainties to minimize the impact on project outcomes. Proactively identify potential roadblocks, dependencies, and resource constraints and develop contingency plans and mitigation strategies to address them effectively.
Requirements:
- Proven track record of leading technology projects in the field of HW/SW design
- 5+ years of experience in program management
- R&D background.
- Background in Satellite industry / Aviation industry / Networking industry â an advantage
- Strong timeâmanagement skills, organizational skills, problem solving and escalation skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Team player.
- Ability to work in high demanding and dynamic environment.
