Senior RF Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team of engineers developing satellite telecommunication payloads for a variety of orbits.
• RF system and circuit level design, simulation and testing.
• Supporting link budget analysis.
• Detailed circuit design including schematic capture, component selection, circuit analysis and EM simulation.
• Engineering analysis and documentation (Derating, Worst Case, Reliability, Radiation, EMI/EMC Analysis, FMECA, Power Budget).
• Directing in-house and 3rd party PCB layout design teams.
• Delivering prototype and product quality manufacturing packages.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 10+ years’ experience in an RF engineering role, in the Space or an equivalent High Reliability sector.
• Knowledge of LEO/GEO communications payloads.
• Experience of circuit and PCB design and RF simulation tools.
• Specialist knowledge in any of the following areas would be advantageous:
• High reliability design and analysis (Space, Military, Automotive, etc).
• Spacecraft link budgets.
• Signal integrity analysis.
• Electronic circuitry radiation effects and mitigation techniques.
• Knowledge of environmental, thermal, safety and EMI/EMC standards.
