I am currently working on an exciting opportunity with a dynamic Local Planning Authority (LPA) in Essex, this Council are currently seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join their team on a contract basis. This LPA is at the forefront of encouraging growth and development, with a steady influx of exciting planning applications, including residential, commercial, and industrial projects. The team is well-supported and driven by a strong focus on delivering high-quality developments, making this an excellent time to contribute your expertise and play a pivotal role in shaping the local landscape. Key Responsibilities As a Senior Planner, you will handle a diverse caseload of planning applications, such as: Complex minor applications : Intricate small-scale proposals requiring detailed review and expert guidance. Mid-scale major applications : Projects including up to 50-unit residential developments and other strategic initiatives. This variety ensures a stimulating workload, blending day-to-day application management with opportunities for more impactful, larger-scale decision-making. Contract Details Initial Duration : 3 months (with strong potential for extension based on performance and project requirements). Working Arrangements : Hybrid model with office presence required once a week , providing a great balance of flexibility and collaboration.
