We are working with a large, purpose-led housing and regeneration organisation with a long history of delivering high-quality homes and thriving communities across London and the South East. With a substantial and diverse residential portfolio, they play a major role in shaping the capital’s built environment and improving lives for residents.

The organisation is in the middle of a significant, long term investment programme, focused on modernising existing homes, delivering new supply, and regenerating key neighbourhoods. This includes major capital works around building safety, sustainability, decarbonisation and estate renewal, underpinned by a clear, well funded strategy and a long term view of growth and impact.

In this senior leadership role you will be responsible for delivering a large programme of works across London and the South. The programme covers a wide range of remediation and refurbishment projects, both internal and external. You will lead the acceleration of delivery in line with regulatory standards, driving efficiency while adapting strategies to the unique requirements of each project. You will coordinate closely with colleagues to synchronise these works with other planned investment and improvement programmes, keeping everything running smoothly and on schedule. Safety, quality, and compliance are central to the role, with particular focus on fire and building standards. You will ensure every project follows the right processes, meets high standards, and delivers tangible results for the communities who live and work in these homes.

Desired Skills

  • Confident, entrepreneurial, and inspirational leader who can motivate teams, provide the right tools, and keep colleagues focused on delivery.
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent, with a professional credential such as MRICS, MCIOB, APM, or similar highly desirable.
  • Proven experience leading complex, large-scale, multi-stakeholder capital or remediation projects, with accountability to an executive leadership team.
  • Strong programming experience, with a clear understanding of how to plan, sequence, and accelerate projects to get them on site efficiently.
  • Strategic thinker able to see the bigger picture, while thriving in a hands-on, practical environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, professional reports for board-level audiences.
  • Strong financial acumen, with experience setting, tracking, and benchmarking financial performance.
  • Proactive problem-solver, with a track record of delivering added value through innovative solutions to complex challenges.
