Are you an experienced Facilities/Health & Safety leader with a passion for driving cultural change, enhancing compliance frameworks and shaping strategic safety performance across a complex property portfolio? We are supporting a leading real estate organisation in the search for a Property Health, Safety & Compliance Manager to provide strategic leadership, operational oversight, and organisation-wide influence. This is a 12 month fixed term contract.
You will:
- Lead the organisation’s Health & Safety strategy, governance and compliance framework across a varied property portfolio.
- Chair internal H&S committees, set agendas, drive cross-team alignment, and ensure effective escalation of risk.
- Oversee statutory obligations including fire safety, building compliance, contractor management, water hygiene, asbestos, and emergency preparedness.
- Provide leadership to the internal H&S/Compliance team—developing capability, ensuring competence, and driving continuous improvement.
- Coordinate and challenge external managing agents to ensure consistent, high-quality compliance delivery.
- Monitor legislation, manage audits, lead incident investigations, and ensure readiness for Building Safety Act obligations (including HRBs).
- Manage the H&S budget and ensure appropriate resourcing for compliance-critical activities.
We’re looking for a senior Facilities/H&S professional with:
- Strong knowledge of the key Health & Safety and Fire Safety regulations relevant to the built environment.
- Proven experience in a senior Health & Safety, Property, FM or Compliance leadership role.
- Experience developing and implementing H&S strategies and leading cultural change.
- Competence in writing, reviewing and delivering risk assessments, fire strategies and compliance audits.
- Experience working with contractors, managing agents and multi-disciplinary internal teams.
- NEBOSH General Certificate (essential); higher-level NEBOSH or equivalent qualifications welcomed.
- Confident communicator able to influence at senior leadership and board level.
