Key responsibilities include; Contribute to the preparation and delivery of management accounts across a diverse portfolio of real estate funds and corporate entities, delivering meaningful variance analysis and financial insights to support strategic decision-making.
Play an integral role in month and quarter-end close processes, preparing and posting journals, accruals, and prepayments to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting.
Prepare, review, and reconcile balance sheet accounts, proactively investigating and resolving discrepancies to maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial information.
Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax legislation and reporting obligations.
Build strong relationships with external auditors throughout the year-end audit process, coordinating the provision of supporting schedules, financial documentation, and responding to audit queries efficiently.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the finance function and wider business on a variety of ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives, helping to drive operational excellence and support the company's continued growth.
We are keen to hear from ambitious and detail-oriented finance professionals who are looking to take the next step in their career within a leading real estate investment business.
You may currently be working as an Assistant Fund Accountant, Junior Fund Accountant, Trainee Fund Accountant, or in a similar finance role within the real estate, property investment, or wider investment management sector, with exposure to fund structures and financial reporting.
Equally, we welcome applications from Assistant Accountants, Assistant Property Accountants, Client Accountants (Real Estate) and Property Accounts Assistants who have experience supporting the financial management and reporting of property portfolios, investment entities, or SPVs.
The successful candidate will have acquired practical experience assisting with the preparation of monthly or quarterly management accounts, whether for individual funds or across multiple entities, alongside a solid understanding of core financial reporting processes.
You will be confident supporting month-end and quarter-end close activities, including journals, accruals, prepayments, bank and balance sheet reconciliations, VAT returns, and year-end audit requirements.
