Job SummaryProperty Development SurveyorLondon |c. 70,000 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Property Development Surveyor to join a large, established organisation with a diverse property portfolio across London and the South East.This is a broad and varied role combining development, surveying, project management and strategic property advice. You will act as a key property specialist, identifying opportunities across the estate and helping stakeholders improve, refurbish and redevelop existing buildings and land.Reporting to the Director of Property Services, you will take responsibility for reviewing existing assets, identifying priorities and opportunities, developing proposals and overseeing projects through to delivery.The roleYou will:Identify development and value-add opportunities across a diverse property portfolio.Provide development, general practice and technical property advice.Manage refurbishment, redevelopment and other property projects from inception through to completion.Support the acquisition and disposal of property where required.Appoint and manage external consultants, advisers and contractors.Review feasibility, costs, tenders and development proposals.Maintain appropriate financial controls, budgets and project reporting.Work closely with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.Contribute to the organisation's wider property strategy and portfolio planning.About youWe are looking for a property professional who can combine strong technical knowledge with commercial judgement and excellent stakeholder management skills.Ideally, you will be RICS, CIOB or RIBA qualified, with post-qualification experience and a background encompassing development, surveying, project management or a combination of these disciplines.You should have experience of property inspections, managing consultants, planning and Building Regulations, procurement, tendering, cost control and delivering projects within a complex stakeholder environment. Experience of listed or heritage buildings would be particularly useful.This could suit someone currently working within a property consultancy, landed estate, public sector organisation, charity, institutional property owner or similar complex portfolio environment who is looking for greater client-side responsibility.Location: Central London with travel across the portfolioWorking pattern: 35 hours per week with some flexibility/home workingHoliday: 26 days, increasing to 31 days after two yearsPension: Excellent non-contributory pension with a current 15% employer contributionThis is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who wants a genuinely varied property role, combining development, technical surveying and project delivery while working across a distinctive and diverse estate.
