Job SummaryThis is a senior Development Management opportunity working across the East and West area teams, supporting the Team Manager and helping to oversee the delivery of the planning service.The role would involve:Managing a varied planning application caseload, including delegated decisions, recommendations and committee reports.Leading on pre-application discussions across a range of development proposals.Handling appeals and providing planning advice to applicants and stakeholders.Supporting the management of the wider DM team and deputising for the Team Manager when required.Clearing and presenting reports at Planning Committee.Helping drive service improvements and change across the team.Supporting and mentoring officers, encouraging professional development and maintaining a high-quality planning service.
