We are recruiting an experienced HR Manager for a senior, full-time role based in Glasgow, supporting a professional services environment with complex and high-risk employee relations activity. This is a hands-on, operational HR Manager role with significant autonomy and ownership. You will act as the lead HR contact for the Glasgow office, managing employee relations, TUPE and redundancy activity with confidence, credibility and minimal supervision. The role will suit an established HR Manager, or a Senior HR professional ready to step into a fully accountable HR Manager position.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all employee relations activity, including complex ER cases, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.
- Take full ownership of TUPE transfers and redundancy processes, ensuring legal compliance and clear, effective communication.
- Act as the senior HR presence on site, advising managers and senior leaders with authority and confidence.
- Support performance management, organisational change and workforce planning.
- Partner closely with the wider HR team to ensure consistency, escalation where appropriate and best-practice alignment.
- Ensure HR policies, processes and records meet legal, regulatory and business standards.
About You
- Currently operating as an HR Manager (or a Senior HR Advisor ready to step into an HR Manager role).
- Strong, hands-on experience in employee relations, TUPE and redundancy.
- Comfortable working autonomously and leading HR activity end to end.
- Strong, up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law.
- Pragmatic, calm and credible, with the confidence to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
