I am working with a national charity to find an Estates Manager to take a leading role across a diverse portfolio throughout the UK.

With retail, office, residential and operational assets in the mix, no two days are likely to look the same.

You’ll have the opportunity to work across acquisitions and disposals, lease events, property management, using your commercial judgement and surveying skills to solve interesting, sometimes complex property challenges.

What makes this role particularly appealing is the team around you and the opportunity to influence.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Property team that works closely with colleagues right across the organisation, with people encouraged to share ideas, challenge constructively and find solutions together.

This is not a role where property operates in isolation; your advice will help shape wider decisions and how the estate supports the organisation.

There is also strong senior and Board-level buy-in to the importance of the property function, giving you the opportunity to put forward ideas, influence change and see good decisions turned into action.

You’ll have autonomy, but you won’t be working alone.

And then there is the reason behind the role.

This is a charity, and the estate exists to enable it to deliver its good causes.

Your work will still demand the commerciality, professionalism and technical expertise you would expect from a senior surveying position, but the end result is different.

The lease you negotiate, the property decision you make, the saving you identify or the improvement you deliver can ultimately help the charity put more of its resources and energy into the people and communities it supports.

If you’re MRICS, commercially minded, comfortable with complexity and looking for a property role where your expertise can have meaning beyond the asset itself, this is an opportunity to make a real difference while continuing to do interesting property work.
