Overview In this role you drive Europe-wide site selection for new data centres, shaping market and acquisition strategies. You will lead cross-functional teams through due diligence, zoning, permitting, and negotiations with landowners and utilities. You partner with design, construction, legal, and finance to ensure technically sound, scalable delivery. You’ll report to senior leadership and influence investors with strategic site choices and energy considerations. This is a high-impact, leadership role focused on expanding the company’s data centre footprint in Europe and aligning power, fibre, and regulatory factors to business goals. Responsibilities Lead the Site Selection team and set near-term and multi-year site acquisition strategies Source and evaluate opportunities, driving technical due diligence Negotiate with landowners, local authorities, and utility providers with emphasis on power availability Align power capacity with fibre, infrastructure, and zoning requirements Engage with local authorities on community and economic development Maintain liaison with internal stakeholders on progress, risks, and approvals Develop relationships with utility providers to understand energy trends and timelines Provide hands-on leadership for projects, tracking progress, risks, and financial metrics Key requirements Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Real Estate, or relevant field, or equivalent experience Extensive experience in site acquisition, real estate, and engineering design/construction European market experience is essential Strong analytical abilities Effective communication and problem-solving Stakeholder management across functions and seniority Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) Site acquisition processes Technical due diligence
