One of Bermuda’s leading commercial real estate firms is seeking an experienced Property / Facilities Manager to join their team and manage a diverse portfolio of commercial properties across the island. Key Responsibilities: As Commercial Property / Facilities Manager, you will: Portfolio Leadership : Take charge of a multi-site portfolio of commercial properties, ensuring operational efficiency and tenant satisfaction across all sites. Strategic Facilities Management : Develop and execute facility management strategies to enhance operations, reduce costs, and ensure regulatory compliance. Service Charge Management : Oversee property maintenance budgets, manage expenditures, and allocate resources effectively while maintaining high-quality standards. Contractor Management : Collaborate with external contractors, negotiate contracts, and ensure services meet agreed-upon standards. Problem-Solving : Quickly identify and resolve any property-related issues to ensure continuity of operations and tenant satisfaction. Compliance & Regulations : Ensure properties comply with all local regulations, building codes, and safety standards through regular inspections and proactive management. Facility Assessments : Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify repair or renovation needs. Emergency Response : Manage urgent situations or emergencies, ensuring a swift and effective response. Stakeholder Engagement : Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, tenants, contractors, and internal teams through clear communication and exceptional service. Customer Service : Deliver excellent service and respond professionally to tenant needs and concerns. Organizational Skills : Prioritise and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. ESG Integration : Work with clients to incorporate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals into facility management operations. Key Requirements: To succeed in this role, you will need: Minimum 5 years’ experience in commercial property and facilities management, with proven experience managing multi-site operations. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH (desirable). Proficiency in property management software and the Microsoft Office Suite. A valid driver’s license. Strong expertise in budget management, strategic planning, and contractor coordination. In-depth knowledge of building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards. A track record of developing and implementing strategic facility management plans. Knowledge of energy-saving measures and sustainability practices in commercial buildings. Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels. A commitment to delivering high-quality customer service and maintaining excellent property management standards. Ability to identify and seize strategic opportunities for property improvement and value optimization. Strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
