An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Finance Associate to join a prestigious, exceptionally successful and long-established real estate investment and property development business with an enviable reputation across the market. Renowned for its entrepreneurial culture, financial strength and long-term vision, the business continues to experience significant growth and is now seeking an ambitious Finance Associate to become an integral part of its high-performing finance function. This role involves supporting complex real estate finance transactions within a sophisticated and fast-paced environment, working closely with senior stakeholders and lenders across a substantial property portfolio.

Key responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the Financial Controller
  • Manage debt facilities and loan application processes across multiple SPV structures covering both operational assets and development schemes
  • Prepare comprehensive and detailed loan application packs including leases, project appraisals, financial information, development cost plans and supporting documentation
  • Maintain, monitor and track loan facilities to ensure sufficient funding is in place across various phases of development projects and refinancing activities
  • Coordinate loan covenant compliance, lender reporting obligations and drawdown conditions
  • Act as the key operational contact for lenders, building and maintaining strong professional relationships
  • Manage and update lender databases whilst ensuring all reporting deadlines and obligations are accurately monitored
  • Produce detailed weekly loan book reports including drawdowns, maturity profiles, refinancing milestones and associated analysis
  • Support the administration and opening of SPV bank accounts, mandates and related corporate documentation
  • Coordinate and organise project appraisal data across multiple portfolios reporting on variances against actuals vs forecast
  • Maintain and update financial models to support funding and refinancing decisions
  • Assist with the administration and management of key finance and lending documentation including facility agreements, covenant calculations, drawdown certificates and audit-related requirements
  • Support year-end audit processes and ensure all finance documentation is accurately maintained and readily accessible

The successful candidate will have gained previous experience within a Finance Associate, Portfolio Finance Associate, Real Estate Finance Analyst or similar role, ideally within real estate lending, property finance, development finance or a related environment. You will possess strong exposure to debt and loan administration, lender reporting, facility documentation and financing processes relating to residential, commercial or mixed-use property assets and developments.

In addition, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical and Excel skills with the ability to update and maintain financial models
  • Experience monitoring loan covenants, refinancing agreements, drawdowns and funding structures
  • A meticulous and highly organised approach with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence liaising directly with lenders and senior stakeholders
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines within a dynamic and fast-moving environment
