Our client is a leading developer, operator, and asset manager of PBSA in the UK and Ireland. As part of the firm’s growth, they are seeking an Asset Manager in London, to help manage and maximise the performance of a large portfolio of PBSA assets, applying innovative & creative ideas to add value.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Asset Management with implementing pro-active asset management of PBSA assets in the UK and Ireland. This includes identifying initiatives, formulating business plans, and implementing value-add strategies to drive value where possible throughout the asset lifecycle.
- Assist the Head of Asset Management with external and internal reporting and client liaison, including but not limited to weekly leasing updates, monthly updates, quarterly reports and reporting.
- Day to day management and monitoring of appointed internal and external consultants including the operator, lawyers, and valuers.
- Research to ensure business plans and client advice are supported by all relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver fund / board recommendations.
- Implement ESG strategies in accordance with company and fund objectives, policies and procedures.
- Assist with the review and implementation of the Generation brand standards across all schemes.
- Be fully conversant with the investors’ strategy and embed this in the Asset Management Strategy.
- Assist the acquisition team during the acquisition process.
Qualifications & Qualities
- Degree qualified, in a relevant field.
- MRICS (preferable) with 5-10 years post qualification experience.
- Experience in an Asset Management function.
- Experience in operational real estate, specifically the PBSA sector, is required.
- Experience of heavy repositioning / CAPEX projects is of significant benefit.
- Backgrounds could be from a real estate Consultancy / Service provider and / or those already working client side.
- Need to be able to review and interpret cashflows.
- Need to be open minded, career focussed, hard working.
