Job Summary

We are seeking an Asset Manager / Estates Surveyor to join a small team to lead the management of a diverse London weighted real estate portfolio predominantly occupied and operated by group companies. The role would suit a motivated individual wanting to work in a diverse client-side role with significant responsibilities from the outset. An amount of experience either at a consultancy or a similar client-side role is essential. The Asset Manager will report to the Head of Property.

A Mayfair based family office responsible for the management of real estate assets on behalf of various group companies. The portfolio is national however the majority of assets are within London M25 or the surrounding counties.

Main Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Working with external consultants, undertake all aspects of asset management including lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, negotiation of licences, negotiation of dilapidation claims, production of repair schedules and other lease events.
  • Assist with the due diligence and underwriting of new acquisition opportunities
  • Overseeing and ensuring performance of rent collection and tenant compliance with lease provisions
  • Implement strategies to ensure the real estate portfolio is best serving the group businesses
  • Oversee the property management of certain assets directing and working with a property management focused team member

Skills and Experience :

  • MRICS Qualified or equivalent level of experience.
  • Experience preferred in L&T, lease renewals, rent reviews, lettings and strategic asset management initiatives.
  • Capable of managing a team member focusing on Property Management.
  • Ability to work effectively in a demanding environment working with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in the commercial property sector in London and the South either at a consultancy or client side.
  • An amount of experience either at a consultancy or a similar client-side role is essential.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships using effective verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Be proficient in MS Office skills including Excel.
  • Well organized and self- driven individual with demonstrated ability to prioritize and effectively complete multiple tasks.
  • A great team player and be comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure with a high level of organisational proficiency and initiative.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow department procedures.
  • Strong level of planning, prioritising and diary management.
