About the Company

Our client is a leading asset management and investment advisory firm with a strong track record in managing complex portfolios across multiple sectors. The team specialises in Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) and structured finance solutions across a range of asset classes. They are now looking for an Analyst to support the management of a diversified loan book, predominantly backed by Non-performing Loan portfolios originated by a major global investment bank.

Role Overview

The Analyst will support the team in monitoring performance, conducting analysis, and managing data across a portfolio of ABS loans. This is an excellent opportunity to develop deep technical and sector knowledge in structured credit, working alongside experienced professionals in a high-performance, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in monitoring portfolio performance across various ABS loan types (e.g., equipment, auto, credit card, and consumer loans)
  • Support the preparation of regular credit reviews and asset quality assessments
  • Help develop and maintain financial models to forecast loan performance and key metrics
  • Produce clear, data-driven reports and dashboards to track trends and identify risk indicators
  • Assist in preparing materials and analysis for internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the implementation of risk management practices across the ABS portfolio
  • Help ensure data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across internal systems

Background and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Mathematics, or a related field
  • 18 months - 3 years of relevant experience (experience in loan asset management, or structured finance preferred)
  • Strong interest in structured finance or ABS (Asset-Backed Securities) or credit risk
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of SQL, Python, or financial modelling is a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with a proactive attitude
  • Comfortable working with large datasets and supporting presentations to stakeholders
  • Team player who can also work independently when required
