  • Manage the integrity of the general ledger and associated schedules, ensuring balances are robust, well-documented, and audit-ready.
  • Contribute to month-end and quarter-end close cycles, supporting accruals, reconciliations, and targeted financial insights to aid decision-making.
  • Prepare and submit UK VAT returns, supporting ongoing compliance and responding efficiently to HMRC and regulatory queries.
  • Uphold UK accounting standards and internal control frameworks, supporting statutory reporting in collaboration with external auditors and accounting advisors.
  • Act as a key liaison between internal teams internationally and external partners, including tax specialists, auditors, and banking institutions.
  • Champion process optimisation by enhancing financial controls, documentation, and reporting practices to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Experience within the property and real estate sector would be beneficial (though not essential), as would prior involvement in delivering accounting functions across multiple entities within a group structure.
  • You will demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Additional language capabilities, particularly Spanish or German, would be of strong interest, although these are not mandatory.
  • You will bring a proactive, committed work ethic, with the ability to manage competing priorities while effectively supporting and liaising with multiple teams and stakeholders.
