So you\’ve got the skill, ambition, and the surveyor’s instinct to spot a defect from 20 metres. But how about instead of being one voice amongst the many where you currently work, you\’re the one leading the way?
A well-established FM and Property Management firm is ready to stop outsourcing their Building Surveying work, and start building a BS function around you. That’s right, this is a blank-canvas opportunity to carve out your own corner of the business and make a real impact.
They’re looking for a Building Surveyor (probably Senior to Associate level) with the know-how to handle:
- Schedules of conditions and dilapidations, project work and condition surveys
- Working across residential blocks, industrial estates, retail outlets and office spaces both local and national
- Cross-selling between departments, H&S referrals and everything in between
You’ll work nationwide, from the Cotswolds to London, with at least 2 WFH days a week to balance out the travel involved. Maybe more depending on where you live – geography isn\’t a barrier for this position.
What You’ll Need
- Strong technical surveying skills and the confidence to work autonomously
- An entrepreneurial spirit – this is the company’s first in-house BS role, so there’s loads of room for growth
- There’s also the chance to grow into a Director in a couple of years as the role grows
The Package
- 10% bonus (split between company & individual goals)
- Pension, free holidays over Christmas, and flexibility to negotiate an extra bonus based on what you bring to the table
This company is no start-up: they\’ve been around since forever. Their systems are solid, their culture is friendly, and they’re forecasting doubling their turnover in the next few years, with Building Surveying playing a starring role.
If you’re ready to be the boss of your own department (with actual freedom, not just a fancy title), this is it. Send an up to date CV through to Ed Collins by applying to this advert.
