Global Product Line Director position is open to all candidates living in the US, Europe or Asia, with a strong Product Management experience and willing to travel globally 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Line of Business revenue and contribution margin
  • Develop and deploy global strategy by Line of Business working closely with the commercial excellence and regional LOB leaders
  • Manage strategy deployment through Key strategic Initiatives (KSI’s) and report through bowlers on KPI’s
  • Develop and execute new product development strategy based on VOC for existing verticals and aligned with R&D capabilities and the global strategy – focus on end-to-end process from initial VoC to first customer ship by region
  • Maintain NPD governance through stage gate process with focus on customer value proposition
  • New vertical penetration by Line of Business leveraging existing product, aligned with global strategy
  • Manage strategic capital deployment for key initiatives
  • Manage pricing based on the next best alternative and a value equation
  • Manage churn, reducing unexpected losses
  • Maintain focus on product lifecycle management with support from Business Intelligence team
  • Monitor application developments across regions to identify trends
  • Act as a ‘Global Ambassador’ for the product line as needed, presenting on relevant topics at industry events, helping to establish MacDermid Enthone as a global leader in the target market(s).

Qualifications

  • Technical degree in Chemistry, Material Science, or Physics strongly preferred. Additional business degree or experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a related field with proven examples of delivering growth through strategy development and cross‑functional deployment.
  • Demonstration of strategic thinking and analysis of product properties vs customer needs (VOC, features/benefits, product lifecycle management) required.
  • Prior experience with established business processes (e.g. DBS, HOS).
  • Team leadership & intercultural cooperation skills and experience in succeeding in matrix environments.
  • Experience in scoping adjacencies and potential partnerships and acquisitions.
  • Willingness to travel globally and extensively (Travel will exceed 50% on a regular basis).
  • Strong spoken and written English. Multilingual capability is a major advantage.
  • Good to excellent presentation skills, with the ability to speak and represent MacDermid Enthone positively in front of large or small audiences.
  • Good to excellent PC skills, esp Microsoft Office products. Experience with Salesforce an advantage.
