The company is seeking a Site Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Glenrothes. The role ensures the site operates to the highest Environmental, Health & Safety standards while meeting quality and delivery targets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overall management of site operations, ensuring production targets are met for volume, quality, cost, and delivery.
- Drive process optimization to improve efficiency, yield, and cost performance.
- Maintain full compliance with HSE regulations and chemical industry requirements, promoting a strong safety culture.
- Manage risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Maintain management systems aligned with ISO and IATF certifications; support internal, customer, and regulatory audits.
- Lead, develop, and motivate the Operations Management Team to achieve quality, HSE, productivity, and customer satisfaction targets.
- Ensure appropriate staffing, training, and competency development while fostering a high‑performance culture.
- Manage the annual operations budget and quarterly forecasts, monitor KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
- Develop business cases for capital investments; deliver projects on time and within budget, supporting Lean, process optimization, and waste reduction initiatives.
- Serve as the primary interface between the site, headquarters, and regional functions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technical Service and Supply Chain teams to support customer needs and manage relationships with suppliers, contractors and external partners to optimize the site and region.
Who are you?
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
- Over 10 years of experience in a similar plant, site or production management role, demonstrating excellent leadership skills.
- Experience managing complex, varied manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience applying Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement techniques.
- Passion for quality, environment, health & safety performance.
- Strong working knowledge of the chemical sector and/or similar manufacturing environment.
