We have a unique opportunity for a talented and committed Part I Architectural Assistant from the London Borough of Hackney to join our team through a Level 7 Architectural Apprenticeship. As one of the UK’s top 100 practices, we are well placed to support the right person in becoming a fully qualified Architect. Apprenticeship Roles & Responsibilities
- The apprenticeship involves 80% studio work and 20% attending lectures and organized study.
- In the studio, your role will include:
- Researching and developing solutions to architectural problems
- Preparing sketches and models
- Assisting in preparing presentation materials
- Drafting and amending technical designs
- Integrating technical information and statutory requirements into design and production drawings, including planning, building control, tender, and construction documentation
- Maintaining office and project files, printing/scanning drawings, and preparing drawing issues; maintaining project QA records
- Researching project briefs, materials, construction products, and systems
- Assisting with specifications and contract documentation
- Attending relevant meetings and taking notes
- Participating in CPD activities
- Supporting reception duties and meeting room setups as needed
About You
You will have completed a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and be proficient in various software, with an excellent eye for detail and design. You are self-motivated, organized, committed to learning, reliable, and a good communicator. You enjoy teamwork and actively contribute to the practice's culture. Experience with Revit is desirable but not essential; a strong grasp of design software and image-making skills is important.
