The Role
You will be joining a committed team of practitioners within a curriculum area that benefits from large student numbers.
The team are driven to ensure the best experiences are given to the learners through innovative teaching and learning in a well‑resourced College.
The post will involve the marketing, delivery and assessment of a range of courses across the areas of Electrical Installation.
You will be required to teach a range of levels ranging from 1 to 3.
Main Duties for this role include
- Plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programs using the appropriate college format to ensure effective learning.
- Accurately assess learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure learners achieve their qualifications.
- Use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and high professional standards.
- Thoroughly prepare suitable teaching, learning and assessment materials for a range of courses/classes and make use of a variety and appropriate learning and teaching methods.
- Have available an up‑to‑date syllabus and scheme of work (showing methods of delivery and embedded cross‑cutting themes) for each course/class taught.
- Support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full potential and progress appropriately.
Qualifications
- An Electrical Installation degree or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and 2365
- Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one
- Relevant industry experience in Electrical
