Our Maths Department are excited to announce that we are looking for a team member to join the department as a Lecturer in
Maths.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join our dedicated team.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Maths team to deliver effective teaching, learning and assessment to learners within
the Mathematics curriculum area at GCSE & Functional Skills Level.

You will also have some course leadership and internal verification responsibilities.

Suitable applicants must possess a relevant Degree or equivalent qualification to at least Level 6, a Teaching Qualification to
the required national standards and hold a Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and ITQ or have a willingness to work towards the
qualifications in a timely manner.

Successful applicants will have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.

Main Duties for this role include:

* To plan teaching, learning and assessment for college programmes using the appropriate college format to ensure effective
learning.

* To deliver teaching and learning to at least a consistently good or outstanding standard to achieve high success rates.

* To assess accurately learners work both formatively and summatively against appropriate awarding body criteria to ensure
learners achieve their qualifications.

* To use all appropriate resources effectively to ensure that the learners’ experience results in positive learning outcomes and
high professional standards.

* To support learners progress through personal tutoring and parent/careers evenings to help learners achieve their full
potential and progress appropriately.
