Our Maxim department is expanding and we are excited to announce that we are looking for an additional team member to join as a Coach/Mentor in Motor Vehicle. We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join our dedicated team. Join us in shaping the future of our students and make a lasting impact with Macclesfield College!
The Role
- To coach and mentor a range of learners who are studying motor vehicle apprenticeships.
- To support learners on a one to one basis, working with the teaching staff who deliver the qualification to ensure that learners are attending classes and are progressing appropriately.
- To support learners in putting together a portfolio of evidence ready for their End Point Assessment.
- Complete reviews with learners and employers out in the workplace to ensure that all learners are working in a safe environment and are making progress in their apprenticeship role in the workplace.
- Support learners in their preparation for their end point assessment.
- Seek out new business opportunities and promote training to employers.
Main Duties for this role include
- Support apprentices using an appropriate range of methods to facilitate and support learning and achievement.
- Complete sign up and review fulfilling all audit requirements.
- Identify individual training needs and to organize training to achieve planned outcomes within defined timescales in line with College processes and procedures.
- Motivate and inspire employees to raise aspirations, promote effort, maintain momentum and encourage progression to higher levels.
- Make good use of Information and Communications Technology, including e-learning and e-assessment.
- Possess good knowledge and awareness of health and safety within the sector and competence in conducting workplace risk assessments.
