We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can work within a supportive growing team during the school holiday periods, supporting our Holiday, Activities and Food programme, funded by the Department of Education. A Head of Programme would be responsible for leading the holiday camp and leading activities to children ages 5 - 16 years old, with assistance from the onsite instructors. Activities follow a modular daily plan provided in advance of the holiday programme start date, each activity will follow any of the following pillars of activity:
- Active: Team Games, Striking & Fielding, Net & Wall Games
- Creative: Thank you cards, Tallest tower challenge, strongest bridge, friendship bracelets
- Healthy: Blind fold fruit tasting, smoothie making, healthy café challenge
Working days are based off of team availability and can be flexible, we typically operate a 4‑day working week from 4‑5 hours per day.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding of children (Training will be provided on appointment).
- Inform Regional Lead of safeguarding concerns.
- Ensure all children are always supervised, both structured and unstructured activities (this includes toilet breaks, break and lunch).
- Ensure instructors are well informed with their daily duties.
- Ensure registers are completed in a timely manner and head counts sent to the Regional Leads.
- Ensure arrival to site in a timely prompt (15 minutes in advance).
- Delivery of activities provided (Team CPD days are used to help further understanding).
- Lead a range of activities across the programme, these could include but are not limited to: Team Games; Football, TAG‑Rugby, Netball, Handball… Net & Wall; Short Tennis, Badminton, Seated Volleyball Striking & Fielding; Rounders, Kwik Cricket, Softball.
- Maintain a professional approach to your duties at all times and set high expectations for children attending our course/your activity.
