About the Opportunity
MDS provides high quality support services to people with disability within our operating regions. We are currently overwhelmed with requests for support, and we are in need of additional staff. We are seeking reliable and flexible Female Support Workers to work at Prestons within a purpose-built home and to access the community. All successful Support Workers that join the team will be good communicators with fluent English skills to ensure the right support for the participant.
Key Responsibilities for this position include:
- Supporting people with a disability and their family/carers in achieving life learning, recreation, employment and educational goals and aspirations
- Engage with people with complex care needs to support achievement and encourage further independence
- Provide personal care, living skills, transport, other services and support.
The successful applicant will have:
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid Qualification - current within 3 years
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation - current within 12 months
- NDIS Worker Clearance
- Working with Children's Check
- NSW Driver's Licence (P1 or above)
- Access to a reliable vehicle
- A passion for supporting others
- Availability to work a number of shifts (Monday to Sunday from 24/7)
These positions are Casual, offering shifts across days, evenings, sleepovers and weekends to suit your availability. MDS Programs span across the Macarthur, Liverpool and Wingecarribee regions. This role is covered under the SCHCADS Award Level 2 ($54.33-$59.30 casual rate).
