Role Summary

As a Support Worker at Macánta Complex Care, you will play a vital role in delivering tailored care packages to individuals and their families. Your support will be essential in helping our clients live safely, comfortably, and with dignity.

Weekend Support Worker – Norfolk Area

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Weekend Support Worker to join our small, committed team supporting a young adult with complex needs in the Norfolk area.

He lives at home with his loving and supportive family, who are actively involved in his care. He has a life-limiting genetic condition, a learning disability, and global developmental delay. Consistent weekend care is essential to ensure his safety, wellbeing, and quality of life.

He relies on his support team for:

• PEG feeding and management
• Personal care
• Transportation
• Support with decision-making and daily activities

Due to the nature of his condition, the absence of appropriate support could lead to serious health risks, including self-neglect. He also experiences episodes of challenging behaviour, so we are looking for someone who can respond with calmness, patience, and professionalism.

What We\’re Looking For

Essential:

• Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities and developmental delays
• Confidence in managing PEG feeding and personal care
• Ability to respond to behaviours that challenge with empathy and skill
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with families and other carers
• Availability to work weekends

Desirable:

• Relevant qualifications in health and social care
• Training in behaviour management techniques
• A full UK driving licence

Shifts : Days – Saturday 6hrs & Sunday 6hrs

Pay: £14.18-£14.70 per hour
