Our client is a vibrant young woman with complex healthcare needs who lives at home with her devoted Mother and sisters. We are looking for a compassionate and experienced Complex Care Nurse to support her and help her to live life to the fullest - whether that is enjoying outings, spending quality time with her family, attending college or relaxing with a good audiobook. You will be part of a caring and supportive team who look after her helping to provide high-quality, person centred care.
Main duties of the job
- You will be providing one-to-one nursing care, mainly within the home environment.
- You will be responsible for:
- Administering and managing medication (including insulin injections)
- Monitoring and responding to seizures
- Supporting PEG feeding
- Carrying out daily physiotherapy to assist with secretion management
- Monitoring overall well-being
- Engaging in meaningful activities and community outings

Job responsibilities
Our client has Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Epilepsy, Diabetes Mellitus and Dystonia. She is PEG fed and Registered blind. You will be someone who brings both clinical expertise and companionship with a warm and person-centred approach to care. As our client is non-verbal, you will be patient, intuitive and committed to clear, kind communication - preparing her gently for any care and talking to her throughout. Whilst the majority of shifts will be within her home environment, you will be confident in managing her care on trips out and accompanying her to college as required. You must be able to work collaboratively with the family and other professionals in the family home.
