The predicted salary is between 22 - 25 £ per hour.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with experience supporting clients with complex healthcare needs. The successful applicant will enjoy working within a kind and supportive team to provide clinical care and oversight for our client who is a young man in his 20's. He lives with his parents in the charming village of Rockland St. Mary, just 15 minutes drive from central Norwich. A full UK driving license is essential and access to own transport is needed due to the rural location.

This fulfilling role involves providing tailored care to meet the young person's specific needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Our client has complex medical needs following a spinal injury.
  • He has an NG tube for drainage and is fed by jejunal tube.
  • Due to scoliosis, he has BiPap to support breathing during the night.
  • He has a concise care plan in place to support his needs which include:
  • Daily bowel, urinary and personal care
  • Feeding regime
  • Physiotherapy programme
  • Suctioning
  • Manual handling
  • Medication delivery
  • Seizure management
Essential Clinical Skills and Experience required:
  • Nasogastric Tube Management: Competent in insertion, care, and monitoring of nasogastric tubes.
  • Medication Administration: Skilled in the safe administration of medication, including complex regimens.
  • Enteral Feed: Experienced in Jejunostomy feeding.
  • Jejunostomy Care: Knowledge and experience in caring for clients with jejunostomy tubes.
  • Bowel Management: Proficient in supporting clients with bowel management needs.
  • Spinal Injury Care: Experience in caring for individuals with spinal injuries, including associated care requirements and autonomic dysreflexia.
  • Suprapubic Catheter Management: Able to manage and care for suprapubic catheters.
  • BiPAP Therapy: Competent in the use and monitoring of Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) devices.

Job responsibilities:
  • Valid NMC Registration and PIN: Must hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) and maintain an active PIN.
  • Nursing Qualification: Possess a recognised nursing qualification (RN Adult, RN Child, RN Learning Disabilities, or RN Mental Health).
  • Clinical Skills and Experience:
  • Competent in insertion, care, and monitoring of nasogastric tubes.
  • Skilled in the safe administration of medication, including complex regimens and rescue medications.
  • Knowledge and experience in caring for clients with jejunostomy tubes.
  • Excellent Communication Skills and experience of working in a client's home environment as part of a care team.
  • Proficient in supporting clients with bowel management needs.
  • Experience in caring for individuals with spinal injuries, including associated care requirements.
  • Knowledge and experience of recognising and managing autonomic dysreflexia episodes.
  • Able to manage and care for suprapubic catheters.
  • Competent in the use and monitoring of Bi-level Positive Airway Pressure (BiPAP) devices.
  • Flexibility, commitment and a passion for improving the quality of life for clients in their home and community setting.
Qualifications:
  • Nursing Qualification: Possess a recognised nursing qualification (RN Adult, RN Child, RN Learning Disabilities, or RN Mental Health).
