Are you an experienced Civil / structural design leader with a passion for driving performance and service quality across building infrastructure? We’re looking for a dynamic Senior Manager to join the SLT, taking charge of a thriving division delivering design of complex infrastructure in the growing Net Zero, renewables and technical construction market.

About the Role

You’ll play a pivotal role in leading and developing a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and technicians. You’ll be accountable for ensuring customer satisfaction, and technical successful project delivery across service lines. You’ll have the autonomy to shape how we deliver — introducing best practice, improving systems and processes, and ensuring that our skilled people have the abilities to deliver first-class service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate design teams delivering excellent design of civil and structural projects across multiple sites.
  • Build strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact for large frameworks.
  • Drive financial performance, including budget management, man hours, resource allocation.
  • Champion health, safety, and compliance across all work streams.
  • Identify opportunities for growth and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop the engineering team capabilities and their development.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a management or senior role within Civil Structural design services.
  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • CEng.

Required Skills

  • Strong leadership skills — able to engage, develop, and inspire technical teams to achieve great results.
  • Experience of complex infrastructure design projects, and construction interfaces.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both with clients and internal teams.
  • Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: Up to £120,000 (dependent on experience). Car Allowance & Performance Bonus. Career progression within a growing business committed to professional development.
