Be a part of the senior team and lead engineering for this innovative private equity water solutions business. We want a practically minded engineer, with the right attitude to overseeing projects from start to finish, and when needed to support at customer sites making sure the equipment delivers what it needs to do when it is installed. Ideally you will be a good rounded engineer, understand flow systems, industrial manufacturing and/or municipal effluent environments. You will act as the technical lead between customers, partners, and internal teams, supporting proprietary industrial effluent and filtration technology on projects at waste water and industrial sites. You will report to the board and lead early technical engagement with customers, through to installation, commissioning and ensuring technologies deliver against specifications.

Location: North UK with travel to clients and sites as required

You will join a small, agile, and highly collaborative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead technical point of contact for prospective and existing customers across industrial, municipal, and process-driven markets.
  • Support the Business Development team by providing credible technical input during early-stage discussions, proposals, and framework bids.
  • Translate complex engineering concepts into clear, persuasive value propositions tailored to customer operational and commercial drivers.
  • Influence client decision-making through evidence-based technical arguments and demonstrated performance outcomes.
  • Monthly reporting on performance and progress of client installations.

Project & Installation Support

  • Coordinate engineering resources to support installation, commissioning, and optimisation of treatment systems.
  • Work closely with senior technical leadership to ensure systems are delivered to specification, on cost and to agreed quality standards.
  • Track influent and effluent performance, dynamic flow behaviour, and operational parameters to evidence successful outcomes.
  • Provide structured written feedback from site experience to inform continuous improvement of product, process, and documentation.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Broad engineering experience within industrial, manufacturing, water or wastewater effluent environments.
  • Strong understanding of fluid dynamic flow systems and how process conditions affect performance and reliability.
  • Experience supporting or delivering technical solutions into live operational environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with customers, contractors, and senior stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Comfortable operating across technical, commercial, and operational discussions and report writing.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable Experience & Qualifications

  • Experience supporting bids, proposals, or commercial opportunities from a technical standpoint.
  • Familiarity with regulatory or compliance-driven operational environments.
  • Ability to produce or contribute to technical reports, validation documents, and process schematics.
  • Formal engineering/chemical qualification (advantageous but not essential).
