Civil Design Director Location: North of England. Salary package Six figures, plus benefits. We are seeking an experienced Civil Design professional to lead our engineering team in the North of England. The successful candidate will possess a CEng qualification and be a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer. You will have a strong background in civil engineering design and a focus on leading a team of civil and structural design engineers. Adaptable experience across steel framed buildings, mass reinforced concrete and structural engineering of infrastructure projects, with a technical ability to guide and mentor engineers. Key Responsibilities: β Oversee and manage all civil engineering design projects for infrastructure schemes, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery. β Lead and build a strong, cohesive engineering team, fostering a collaborative work environment. β Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality. β Conduct thorough design reviews and ensure effective design coordination happens across all projects. β Collaborate with infrastructure teams and project managers to ensure seamless integration of design elements for projects. β Maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and other engineering teams to ensure alignment. Qualifications and Skills: β CEng qualification, Chartered Engineer status. β Extensive experience in civil engineering design with expertise in steel-reinforced buildings and mass reinforced concrete. β Strong structural engineering knowledge and ability to manage customers and stakeholders expectations. β Proven experience in team building and management. β Proficient in managing budgets and resources effectively. β Excellent design review and coordination skills.
