We are supporting a high-performing Energy from Waste facility in Scotland, looking to appoint a Plant Manager to take full ownership of site operations, performance, and team leadership. This is a senior role with full responsibility for delivering operational excellence, driving safety culture, and ensuring the plant meets contractual and financial targets.
The Role
- Full accountability for site operations, maintenance, and overall performance
- Lead a strong safety-first culture, ensuring compliance with all HSE and environmental regulations
- Deliver plant KPIs including availability, efficiency, and output targets
- Own site P&L, budgets, and financial performance
- Lead, develop, and manage a multidisciplinary operations and maintenance team
- Oversee outage planning, execution, and recovery from unplanned shutdowns
- Manage key stakeholder relationships including regulators, contractors, and internal functions
- Drive continuous improvement across plant performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
What They’re Looking For
- Senior leadership experience within power generation, EfW, or process plant environments
- Strong track record managing plant performance and delivering against KPIs
- Experience owning budgets and financial performance
- Strong knowledge of HSE, environmental compliance, and permit conditions
- Engineering background or equivalent operational experience - Qualification is essential
