We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Technician to join a well-established industrial processing facility based in Exeter. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation operating within a critical infrastructure environment. The role will focus on delivering planned and reactive maintenance activities, supporting plant reliability, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned maintenance (PM) schedules in line with site maintenance plans
  • Carry out reactive and corrective maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Diagnose faults and provide effective solutions to maintain production performance
  • Support and deliver improvement projects aimed at increasing plant reliability and reducing costs
  • Assess malfunctioning equipment and provide technical recommendations to site management
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard

Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 in Electro-Technical Installations (or equivalent), or:
  • City & Guilds 2365-2 (Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installations)
  • City & Guilds 2357-3 (Level 3 Diploma in Electrotechnology)
  • City & Guilds 2382 (17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Experience carrying out electrical maintenance in a fast-paced industrial, manufacturing, or production environment
  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems and electrical plant equipment
  • Strong understanding of proactive maintenance strategies and condition monitoring
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
