An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced maintenance and asset management professional to join a leading UK industrial infrastructure business operating multiple large-scale process and power generation facilities. This is a strategic role focused on driving maintenance excellence, asset reliability, outage planning, and long-term asset performance across a portfolio of operational sites throughout the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and continuous improvement of maintenance strategies across multiple UK sites
- Drive asset reliability, availability and performance improvement
- Manage and optimise maintenance management systems and asset data structures
- Develop long-term maintenance and asset lifecycle plans
- Lead outage planning, scope development and post-outage reviews
- Implement best practice maintenance planning and preventative maintenance programmes
- Develop strategic spare parts strategies to minimise downtime and protect critical assets
- Support engineering improvement initiatives and capital investment projects
- Manage maintenance budgets, forecasting and cost control activities
- Promote maintenance governance, compliance and continuous improvement across the portfolio
Candidate Requirements
- Degree, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or related Engineering discipline
- Extensive experience within Energy from Waste, Power Generation, Biomass, CHP, Utilities, Petrochemical, Chemical Processing or Heavy Industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling and asset management principles
- Experience managing CMMS / maintenance management systems
- Proven track record of improving plant reliability and maintenance performance
- Experience developing outage strategies and long-term maintenance plans
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Willingness to travel regularly across the UK operational portfolio
