Overview

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketplace Manager has arisen within a thriving online retail business poised for significant growth and innovation. Part of a wider portfolio of well-known Glasgow brands, the company has ambitious expansion plans for 2025 and beyond following consistent revenue growth. In this role the successful Manager will take full ownership of Amazon and other marketplace channels, ensuring they deliver profitable growth and play a critical role in their wider eCommerce strategy.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can combine analytical rigour with creativity, balancing performance marketing expertise with brand-building awareness. You’ll bring deep marketplace insight, a commercial mindset, and the ability to confidently shape both tactical activity and long-term strategy.

The Role

Amazon is our client’s primary channel, so this role will be central to ensuring consistent, profitable growth without margin erosion. You will work closely with their Senior Management Team to optimise performance, scale sales, and deliver meaningful ROI across Amazon and other key marketplaces, including eBay, Mirakl, TikTok Shop, and beyond. This is a strategic and hands-on role where your expertise will drive decision-making and give the business confidence that their marketplace channels are in safe hands.

Responsibilities

  • Own and optimise performance across Amazon and key marketplaces, ensuring profitability and growth
  • Plan, manage, and optimise Amazon Ads campaigns (Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, DSP)
  • Use third-party tools (Skai, Helium10, JungleScout, etc.) to automate, analyse, and unlock insights
  • Build and manage dashboards, interrogate data, and deliver actionable insights to drive efficiency
  • Oversee budgets, forecast spend, and dynamically reallocate investment to maximise ROI
  • Continuously test and refine campaign structures, bid strategies, creatives, and placements
  • Collaborate with creative and brand teams to deliver A+ content, storefront enhancements, and high-impact campaigns that drive both conversions and brand equity
  • Monitor competitor activity to proactively defend and capture market share
  • Educate wider teams on marketplace best practices and communicate actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders

Requirements

  • Deep expertise in Amazon Ads, with proven results in scaling profitable campaigns
  • Strong knowledge of marketplace ecosystems beyond Amazon (eBay, Mirakl, TikTok Shop, etc.)
  • Advanced use of marketplace optimisation tools (Helium10, JungleScout, Skai, or similar)
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into growth strategies
  • Proven budget management and forecasting experience
  • Commercially minded, with an understanding of contribution margin, LTV, and incrementality
  • Agile problem-solving skills, with the ability to act quickly on performance insights
  • Experience collaborating across marketing, eCommerce, and creative teams
  • Clear communicator with confidence in presenting insights and shaping decisions
