An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Marketing Manager to join a growing online retail business at a pivotal stage in its journey. Part of a wider portfolio of well-known Glasgow-based brands, the company is entering a new phase of expansion, with major plans for 2025 and beyond.
This role offers the chance to take real ownership of brand strategy and creative direction, shaping how the business connects with its audiences across multiple touchpoints. You’ll be joining a small but ambitious team that’s already driving impressive growth and ready to take its brand presence to the next level.
The Role:
This is not a day-to-day ad execution role — the business already has paid specialists and agency partners in place. Instead, you’ll focus on the bigger picture: brand building, storytelling, and delivering high-impact campaigns that cut through.
Working closely with the Senior Management Team, you’ll define the creative and strategic direction of the brand, oversee campaign development, and ensure consistency across every platform — from digital and PR to events and experiential activations. This is a highly visible role where your ideas will shape perception, drive engagement, and set the tone for the brand’s next chapter.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead brand strategy, ensuring consistent storytelling across all customer touchpoints.
- Oversee campaign planning, creative direction, and execution across digital, social, PR, and experiential channels.
- Manage partnerships and influencer activity to expand brand reach and build advocacy.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to ensure cohesive, high-quality output.
- Plan and deliver events and activations that elevate brand visibility and engagement.
- Analyse campaign performance and audience insights to inform ongoing strategy.
- Act as brand guardian, maintaining consistency in tone, visuals, and experience.
- Champion creativity and innovation across the marketing team and wider business.
Requirements:
- 4+ years marketing experience within a D2C scale-up, lifestyle/eCommerce brand.
- Strong understanding of brand strategy, storytelling, and creative campaign development.
- Confident managing PR, influencer, and partnership activity.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Commercially aware with the ability to balance creativity and performance.
- Entrepreneurial and proactive, able to thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- A natural collaborator with a passion for building brands from the ground up.
Package:
- Competitive salary starting from £50,000, depending on experience.
- Hybrid working – office based East of Glasgow.
- Opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping and scaling a growing lifestyle brand.
- Genuine scope to progress into a Head of Marketing role as the business expands.
- Work alongside a passionate, entrepreneurial leadership team driving meaningful growth.
- Free on-site parking and staff discounts on products.
How to Apply:
Apply via LinkedIn or contact Brian directly at brian@macrecruit.co.uk. The role is based east of Glasgow. Candidates must be within a commutable distance and have access to their own transport. Applicants must have the full right to work in the UK, as no sponsorship is offered.
