We’re recruiting for a Senior Electrical Project Engineer to support the design and delivery of electrical systems across a range of power generation and renewable energy projects.
You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle — from feasibility through to commissioning — working closely with multidisciplinary teams on technically complex projects.
This is a home-based role with regular UK site travel, including periods spent on project sites during key phases (design, installation, commissioning). Occasional international travel may also be required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design electrical systems for power, industrial, and renewable projects
- Carry out feasibility studies and technical assessments
- Support projects from concept to commissioning
- Perform system modelling and optimisation
- Develop control strategies (SCADA/process systems)
- Support testing, commissioning, and fault finding
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and HSE regulations
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in power generation, renewables, or industrial projects
- Strong knowledge of grid systems and electrical standards (IEC, BS7671, ENA)
- Experience with SCADA / control systems
- Familiar with tools such as AutoCAD, MATLAB (or similar)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects
- Chartered or working towards
- Experience with EfW, battery storage, solar, or wind projects
- Understanding of project economics / commercial aspects
