One of the Caribbean's leading insurance specialists is looking for UK experienced Insurance Broking professionals to relocate to their Cayman Islands office. The Insurance Broker will be responsible for providing expert advice to clients, analysing their insurance needs, and recommending suitable coverage options. This role is responsible for selling and broking all lines of property & casualty insurance in an effort to increase the Company’s market share in commercial businesses and organizations through an in-depth knowledge of insurance risks and markets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for leading the renewal, tender and prospecting processes.

Overview

  • Provide expert advice to clients on insurance products and services, including property, casualty, & other specialized insurance policies.
  • Analyse clients' insurance needs and assess their risk profile - recommending appropriate coverage options thereafter.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their evolving needs and proactively offering tailored insurance solutions.
  • Collaborate with insurance underwriters to negotiate terms & conditions, and pricing on behalf of clients.
  • Provide client advice and assistance during the claims settlement process.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and changes in insurance products to provide accurate and up-to-date information to new and existing clients.
  • Prepare & present insurance proposals to clients, clearly outlining coverage details, terms, and conditions.
  • Assist in collecting and recording compliance-related documents from clients and prospects.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential clients and develop strategies to expand the client base.
  • Supervise support staff to ensure timely and accurate invoicing, premium payments, and commission processing.
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions, policies, and transactions in the company's database.

Package:

  • Generous base - the firm can be flexible depending on years of experience but we’re looking up to 100,000 USD as a ballpark.
  • Commission - it’s a very impressive comms scheme with uncapped earning potential.
  • Annual performance bonus on top.

Required profile:

  • CIP, ACII, CPCU or equivalent professional qualification; university degree would also be an asset.
  • 5 years’ experience with proven track record of success in an insurance or broking environment.
  • Previous Property and Casualty experience is essential.
  • Formal Sales/Marketing and customer service training.
  • Advanced understanding of insurance markets.
