  • Support the implementation of ISO 45001 and participate in internal audits.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and compliance assessments.
  • Lead and support incident investigations, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Monitor site H&S performance, reporting on key metrics and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage contractor safety compliance, including competency assessments, inductions and safe working practices.
  • Chair site H&S committee meetings and contribute to wider Group safety initiatives.
  • Support outage planning and execution, including CDM compliance, Permit to Work systems and RAMS reviews.
  • Maintain accurate H&S documentation, incident records and weekly performance reports.
  • Work collaboratively with site management to ensure compliance with UK health and safety legislation.

Experience & Qualifications

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  • Experience in a Health & Safety Advisor or similar H&S management position.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices.
  • Good understanding of health and safety management systems and relevant ISO standards.
  • Strong communication, organisational and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Competent IT skills and the ability to produce clear H&S reports and documentation.
  • ISO 45001 auditing experience and/or a recognised auditor qualification.
  • Incident investigation qualification, ideally with lead investigation experience.
  • Experience supporting plant shutdowns, maintenance outages and contractor activities.
  • Knowledge of CDM Regulations, Permit to Work systems and risk assessment methodologies.

What's on Offer?
