The Head of Marketing is a senior leadership role responsible for setting and delivering the strategic marketing direction across both direct-to-consumer and intermediary channels. By harnessing the brand vision and effectively positioning and promoting products, you will ensure all marketing activity is customer-focused, commercially effective, and compliant with regulatory and legal standards—ultimately driving measurable growth in engagement and sales.
About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer and part of the Management Group, this is a senior, strategic position with real influence. You’ll shape and lead a bold, integrated marketing strategy across both direct-to-consumer and intermediary channels. From performance marketing and content strategy to B2B enablement and brand positioning, your remit will be wide-ranging and high-impact.
You’ll lead a team of nine (three direct reports), manage significant budgets, and be accountable for delivering measurable growth in enquiries, web starts, and sales—all while ensuring marketing activity aligns with regulatory requirements, including the Consumer Duty.
What You’ll Do
- Own the marketing strategy for both direct and intermediary channels
- Lead and optimise multi-channel campaigns across PPC, paid social, SEO, direct mail, and more
- Create and deliver B2B tool kits and campaigns
- Champion data-led decision making and customer insight
- Oversee content strategy, product positioning, and brand-aligned messaging
- Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, Compliance, and Customer Experience teams
- Manage marketing performance reporting and budget accountability
- Build a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
- Significant marketing experience in Financial Services is essential
- Proven track record in both D2C and intermediary marketing environments
- Strong team leadership skills with a passion for developing talent
- Deep understanding of performance marketing and campaign optimisation
- Knowledge of regulatory marketing practices including Consumer Duty
- A commercial mindset, with strong stakeholder influence and communication skills
- A hands-on leader, who’s comfortable rolling up their sleeves to make things happen
