An established, internationally operating professional services organisation is seeking a Project Accountant to join its Glasgow team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role sits within a project-driven environment and will suit a finance professional who enjoys working closely with operational teams, providing commercial insight and ensuring strong financial control across multiple projects.

The Role

  • Financial management and reporting across a portfolio of projects
  • Budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
  • Monitoring project costs, revenue recognition and profitability
  • Supporting month-end and year-end processes
  • Partnering with project managers and non-finance stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with internal financial controls and processes
  • Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a project accounting or management accounting role
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
  • Ability to work in a deadline-driven, project-based environment
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to challenge and influence
  • Part-qualified, fully qualified (CA / ACCA / CIMA) or qualified by experience
