A leading international industrial energy company is looking to recruit a General Plant Attendant to join their operations team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (open to longer term opportunities) at a large-scale processing facility in Fife. This is a hands-on role within a high-performing plant environment, supporting the safe and efficient day-to-day running of the site. Ideal for candidates from industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or heavy plant backgrounds.
The Role
- Working as part of a small operations/maintenance team, you will be responsible for:
- Supporting the safe and efficient operation of the plant
- Operating mobile plant equipment including: Forklift, Telehandler, Front-loading shovel
- Assisting with plant maintenance, breakdowns, and emergency response
- Carrying out routine inspections, reporting defects, and maintaining high housekeeping standards
- Ensuring full compliance with HSEQ procedures and site regulations
- Handling and managing COSHH materials safely
- Reporting incidents, near misses, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Experience working in a plant, industrial, manufacturing, or similar environment
- Mobile plant experience is essential (Forklift, Telehandler, or Loading Shovel)
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations
