We’re working on an E-commerce Manager role with our financial services client in Glasgow who will lead the optimisation of their digital sales channels – including website and mobile app – and deliver measurable growth in revenue and profit.
This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the e-commerce strategy, ensuring platforms deliver an engaging, intuitive, and customer-first experience that drives recruitment, retention, and development of customers.
The role:
- As E-commerce Manager, you’ll shape and deliver the e-commerce roadmap across the website and app.
- Working closely with Customer Acquisition, Customer Development and Digital CX teams, you’ll lead continuous optimisation of online sales journeys, ensuring they are efficient, engaging and high-converting.
- From performance analytics to SEO strategy, you’ll drive improvements that increase conversion rates and engagement – while ensuring the right product mix to maximise profitability.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the development and execution of the e-commerce strategy across web and app channels to deliver sales and profit targets.
- Continuously optimise sales journeys, driving higher conversion rates and stronger engagement.
- Use robust analytics to track performance and uncover actionable insights that inform decisions.
- Own A/B testing and continuous improvement plans to refine customer journeys.
- Develop lead capture and re-marketing strategies for non-converting customers.
- Manage e-commerce development workstreams with both internal stakeholders and external agencies.
- Define and deliver the SEO strategy to increase organic traffic and improve rankings.
- Carry out competitor and market analysis to spot opportunities and emerging trends.
- Lead and develop a line report, fostering a culture of innovation and performance.
- Stay ahead of industry best practice to ensure we’re continually improving our digital channels.
About you:
- You’ll be a commercially minded digital leader, combining strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to execution.
- You’ll have a passion for customer-centric experiences and a strong track record of delivering measurable improvements in digital performance.
- Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital or E-commerce (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in e-commerce management across web and app platforms.
- Demonstrated success in optimising customer journeys to increase engagement and sales.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills – comfortable using data to shape decisions.
- Excellent leadership skills with experience managing high-performing teams.
- Skilled in CMS and web analytics tools (experience with DATO CMS desirable).
- Expertise in SEO and SEM best practices.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Financial services sector experience advantageous but not essential.
