Mac Recruit Group are delighted to be partnering with our clients over in East Kilbride as they are keen to welcome a Contracts Manager to their in-house legal team on a full time and permanent basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate commercial aspects of new contracts to identify risks and benefits, supporting negotiations.
- Review new and existing agreements with customers, suppliers, and partners for commercial and contractual soundness.
- Obtain approval for non-standard terms in accordance with established processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve non-commercial contract issues.
- Develop and implement commercial strategies and processes to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain productive relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners.
- Provide expert advice on a range of contractual matters and manage contract negotiations.
- Lead training and development initiatives related to commercial contracting.
- Recent experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Can come from Private Practice with corporate/commercial contracts experience.
- Knowledge of contract law and experience with NEC3, NEC4, MF1, or JFD contracts (ideal but not essential).
- Excellent communication, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Degree level education or equivalent (ideal but not essential).
