We’re looking for a Senior HR Consultant to join our friendly and ambitious client. Our client is a leading professional services firm operating across the UK, Ireland and the USA, with more than 1,000 employees. The organisation provides a broad range of professional services to individuals, family businesses and organisations, including audit, tax, corporate finance, payroll, people consultancy and wealth management. Its team comprises more than 60 HR, Health & Safety and Talent Development specialists working across locations throughout the UK. The focus is on building strong, long-term relationships and providing practical, tailored advice that helps clients attract, retain and develop their people while creating better workplaces. The organisation places a strong emphasis on its people, investing in professional development, training, qualifications and opportunities to progress. As a Senior HR Consultant, you’ll become a trusted adviser to a portfolio of organisations, providing practical and commercially focused HR support. Providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice on day-to-day HR and employment matters, with a particular focus on employee relations. Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and becoming a valued extension of their team. Working with organisations to review and improve their existing HR practices, processes and systems. Recommending and helping to implement practical HR solutions, tools and improvements that support business growth. Advising managers and leadership teams on the practical application of HR policies and best practice. Supporting clients with recruitment, onboarding, development and management of their people. Helping organisations create inclusive, welcoming and values-led workplace cultures. Supporting and mentoring colleagues, acting as a point of contact for HR queries and management advice. Preparing documentation to support processes including onboarding, probation, appraisals, absence management, employee relations, benefits, contracts and offboarding. Creating, reviewing and refreshing HR templates, toolkits and documentation. We’re looking for someone who combines strong HR knowledge with a genuine passion for working with people and businesses. At least 4 years' experience working across HR, employee relations and employment legislation. Strong knowledge of HR best practice and the ability to turn that knowledge into clear, practical advice. Experience managing a broad range of employee relations matters. A commercial, flexible and client-focused approach. A solutions-focused and forward-thinking mindset, with a genuine interest in improving HR processes and practices. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development. The confidence and willingness to travel to office locations and client sites as required. Experience of HR system implementation would be an advantage. A full driving licence and access to a car are essential , as regular travel to client sites will be required.
