Are you a delivery-led Strategic Account Manager who enjoys owning complex contracts, managing performance, and turning data into action? We are recruiting on behalf of a market-leading supply chain and distribution business to appoint a Contract Lead responsible for the governance, performance, and development of a national, high-profile customer contract. This is not a new-business sales role. It is a contract ownership and delivery role, focused on operational excellence, KPI performance, and continuous improvement across a multi-site UK contract.
The role:
- Act as the single point of accountability for a strategic customer relationship, ensuring contractual commitments are delivered consistently across the UK.
- Own end-to-end contract governance, including KPIs, service levels, and compliance.
- Lead delivery of product supply chain solutions such as catalogue management, vendor alignment, and service optimisation.
- Analyse performance data (OTIF, service metrics, savings, compliance) and produce Excel-driven reports and PowerPoint packs for senior stakeholders.
- Chair and contribute to monthly and quarterly business reviews, translating data into clear actions.
- Identify and implement service improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Work cross-functionally with Operations, Procurement, Commercial, IT, and Legal to ensure seamless contract delivery.
- Travel nationally to customer and internal sites as required.
What we’re looking for:
- You will come from a strategic account, contract management, or contract lead background, ideally within a supply chain, distribution, MRO, utilities, or industrial environment.
- Proven experience owning and governing live B2B contracts (post-award).
- Demonstrable accountability for KPIs, service performance, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of product supply environments (distribution, inventory, catalogue, logistics).
- Advanced Excel capability (pivot tables, dashboards, performance analysis).
- Strong PowerPoint skills, with experience presenting operational performance to senior stakeholders.
- Commercially aware, structured, and detail-driven.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid model with UK travel.
- Experience in utilities or regulated environments is advantageous but not essential.
What’s on offer:
- Competitive salary and performance-related bonus.
- Company car or car allowance.
- 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.
- Pension, private healthcare, and life assurance.
- Enhanced family leave and flexible/hybrid working.
- Clear progression, with the role aligned to future leadership succession.
If you are a Contract Lead or delivery-focused Strategic Account Manager who enjoys owning complex customer contracts and driving performance through data and structure, we’d love to hear from you.
