Industrial Maintenance Electrician
Location: Stoke-on-Trent
Salary: £39,879 - £43,901 + Overtime + Benefits
The Opportunity
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician to join a well-established industrial business based in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is a varied, hands-on role where you'll be responsible for carrying out both planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across a wide range of industrial equipment, helping to maximise reliability, minimise downtime and support the safe operation of the site.
Working as part of a close-knit engineering team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving site performance while contributing to ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement activities.
The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on on industrial electrical equipment.
- Responding to electrical breakdowns and carrying out fault finding and repairs.
- Diagnosing faults on industrial electrical equipment and control systems.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Carrying out electrical isolations and working within Permit to Work procedures.
- Supporting planned maintenance activities, outages and shutdowns.
- Working closely with operations and the wider engineering team to improve equipment reliability and site performance.
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping.
About You
To be considered, you should have:
- A recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent electrical qualification.
- Previous experience within an industrial electrical maintenance environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance.
- The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
- Experience working safely within industrial maintenance environments.
Engineers from sectors such as manufacturing, food & beverage, ceramics, building products, heavy industry, utilities, recycling, aggregates, cement, paper or other process industries are encouraged to apply.
Working Hours
- 40 hours per week.
- 07:00 - 15:30.
- Four-week rotating pattern with only 1 weekend in 4 required.
Package
- Salary of £39,879 - £43,901.
- Overtime paid at enhanced rates where applicable.
